The Inner wing needed boxing in at the bottom to take the Cavalier V6 Mount

Welding in a piece of 4mm steel angle

Fully welded in, just need to work out where to position the mount

Prepped, primed and later painted, before the engine goes in

Ian started work on the massive wiring job, and I got on with converting the engine to 1990 emissions standards

EGR and Secondary Injection ports welded up

Secondary Injection ports welded up on the front too

Removing the V6 flywheel was too much for Ian's Air spanner, so I knocked up a counter hold with another piece of 3mm angle.

Same angle repositioned for torqueing up the XE flywheel bolts

  

Temporary spacers made up for locating the engine mount, later proved unsuitable, as the mount sits too high, for the boxed wing section
